Performance-Based Admission Pathways (PBA)

This pathway provides a streamlined route to Illinois Tech’s Master of Information Technology degree. If you have successfully completed one of the following certificates on Coursera, you can request admission, bypassing traditional requirements like admissions tests and application fees.

Upon acceptance and enrollment in the master's degree, you will also earn 3 credits toward the core curriculum, saving you time and money.

Eligible Admission Pathways:

Important notes:

  • You must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • You must have successfully completed either the Google IT Support Professional Certificate or the Hardware and Operating Systems Foundations Specialization within three years of applying.
  • Admission is not guaranteed until your PBA waiver request is approved.
  • You may choose to enroll in courses before receiving approval, but you do so at your own risk.
