This Specialization prepares learners for the SC-401: Microsoft Information Security Administrator certification and equips them with the skills needed to secure and govern organizational information across Microsoft environments. Learners will explore Microsoft Purview, data classification, sensitivity labels, data loss prevention (DLP), information lifecycle management, insider risk management, and compliance solutions.
Through a combination of conceptual learning and hands-on demonstrations, learners will gain practical experience implementing information protection strategies, securing sensitive data, managing compliance requirements, and mitigating information security risks. By the end of the Specialization, learners will be prepared to design, deploy, and manage Microsoft information security and compliance solutions that support organizational governance and regulatory objectives.
Applied Learning Project
Throughout this Specialization, learners will complete hands-on projects that simulate real-world information security and compliance scenarios. They will classify and protect sensitive data, configure Microsoft Purview solutions, implement Data Loss Prevention policies, manage retention and records management settings, and investigate insider risk and compliance incidents.
These projects help learners apply Microsoft information security concepts to authentic business challenges while building practical skills that align with the SC-401 certification exam and real-world administrator responsibilities.
